I’m just a Zayn girlie through and through. Sorry about it. I really wish I could still find my texts from March 25, 2015 because I’m sure they were soooo funny but my phone only has until January 2016 for any mention of Zayn. (Side note, if you’re able to check TSSQ archives, I may have a very funny thing for you to look up from March 25, 2015, pre-disaster.)
But I did find this. Back when people still used Twitter to communicate with each other. I didn’t have service in physics lab so calls and texts weren’t coming through. Hahahaha. But it really was this serious!!!
In retrospect, “Little Things” is absolutely diabolical and it absolutely would’ve gotten them cancelled had it been released even like…4 years later. “You’ll never love yourself half as much as I love you” EXCUSE ME??? Ed Sheeran has been atoning for his sins since then. I think their best video is “Night Changes,” followed by “One Thing” and “Story of My Life.”
One Direction really showed me what being a…FAN was like. Like with Taylor, she was still It for me, but I really wasn’t online for her like I was for One Direction. They really did change the trajectory of my life in many ways. Remember fucking 1D Day?
Let’s just go down memory lane, shall we?
11 years ago? 2014 I think. 19 years old. For whatever tour they did for Midnight Memories. Side part the same. Winged eyeliner, while much much muuuuch better nowadays, basically the same. Best friends the same. That top was Forever 21 (rip). I actually might still have it.
I think I lost my photos from my first One Direction concert and Caitlin and I never took any for the last tour because we had such an awful time in Chicago.
Wait I just checked Facebook bc I knewwww I had one floating around somewhere. 2013! For Take Me Home tour. Still wear that necklace everyday. Shorts were Forever 21 and I looooved them.
I’ll be in line for whatever form their eventual reunion takes place. I remember after Zayn left, John Green took to Tumblr and wrote a really sweet post about it. Let me see if I can find it.
Hmm I can’t but it was basically like “when my favorite player gets traded everyone sends their condolences but girls are overreacting with Zayn” but like much more eloquent. Idk it was really nice at the time. Because, again, it really was that serious.

Which reminds me of Harry’s quote about teenage girls from 2017. I’m really just going on a tangent, aren’t I? I actually have a lot a lot a lot of work I’m avoiding, that’s why.
Just very nice. And not untrue. Though I think public opinion peaked with millennial teenage girls.
