I have an addendum to make from last month. I forgot I did in fact read in a book. Goodreads is now giving you little rewards for reading a book a month so I’m going to finish GBBL today so I can get my little bookmark. But anyways, I forgot that I finished a book at the very beginning of March.
Things I Read (in March)
The Favorites! It’s a Wuthering Heights retelling, which admittedly I have not read yet (I will try my best). And then I compared the characters names from WH to The Favorites, and I’m sure I would’ve picked up on that detail had I read it. You have Heath and Kat (like girl what the hell) who are figure skaters and then there’s Isabella who goes by Bella and her brother’s name is the same as it is in WH but I don’t remember it and it’s like the gang’s all here.
I really liked this. It has the best, and really only, Taylor Swift reference I will allow. No spoilers, and I thing I told you this already, but the book takes place in 2013 and they reference a Taylor song that talks about traffic lights and busy streets. Like. More please! Thank you. Anyways yeah I liked it.
Now onto April. It was a very busy month so I didn’t really do anything.
Things I Watched
Pride and Prejudice. (Lowkey twice.) We all know. We get it. Shut up, Jessie.
Also I think I’m going to see Sinners tonight which I am VERY jazzed about.
Things I Read
Great Big Beautiful Life. I will include a full review in May recap but I’m very much enjoying it so far!! The reading experience is better than it was for Funny Story and I actually ended up loving that one so I’m very excited for how this one will end. I don’t even mind the insta-loveyness because she sets the stage for it pretty well: two hot young people in Georgia surrounded by old retirees. Like yeah, I get it.
Other Things I Did
Went to Chipotle and they ran out of chips AND vinaigrette and then when I opened my quesadilla it was the wimpiest, skinniest thing so I did email Chipotle HQ and they gave me some BOGO coupons and free chips and guac. Back in my day, Chipotle instantly refunded you. Like what the hell am I supposed to do with a BOGO deal.
Yelled at some people yesterday and it was so thrilling. If you want to hear the story, hmu.
Went to DC and got to see and help my best friend get engaged. ‘Twas very honored to be included in the festivities.
I have started applying to jobs. We are keeping me in your prayers and we will move on to sacrifices if we have to.
Took my last law school exam so now I’m just chillin.
And then took grad photos yesterday. Graduation outfit reveal. Remind me to pick up bobby pins because the hat does not fit on my head at all.
I’m turning 30 and a half tomorrow, if you care.
